July and August Events in La Manche, Normandy

At the moment we have 4 great helpers staying, James and Conor from Ireland, Zoë from Northern Ireland and Claire-Bear from Cornwall.

We (well the wonderful Claire) have had added a new page to our blog, with local events happening around us and our rental properties at St Martin de Bréhal, and Moyon.  Clearly the lists are just a beginning, and if you know of things we should add, please drop us a line.  The weather this summer has been so diabolical, I think we will also have to create a Rainy Day Activity Page too (many thanks to LayMyHat for that idea).

James is the most amazing chef – and we are going to be adding some our favourite recipes to keep ourselves entertained during the rainy days!  So keep an eye out for the delicious treats.  Claire and Zoë are both promising their contributions too.  Claire has already made Outrageously Good Flapjacks, improved my Oat and Banana Muffins and created a delicious Cherry Clafoutis.  The only hitch is that it is impossible to cook if James is around, because he is big on “suggestions”.  We will be adding these recipes very shortly.

We shall be going to Granville tonight for the fireworks display for Bastille Day and are planning to try out the night tours at Mont St Michel next week.
