1st: LABOUR DAY (Public Holiday)

4-11th: JAZZ SOUS LES POMMIERS – The 32nd edition of this popular festival held in Coutances, with a wide range of jazz styles played by both local and international musicians. Artists appearing this year include Gregory Porter, Madeleine Peyroux and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

8th: VICTORY IN EUROPE DAY (Public Holiday)

9th: ASCENSION DAY (Public Holiday)

TBA: FÊTE DU HUTREL – Held annually for more than 80 years, with a barbecue, traditional Norman games, dancing and games on the village pond.

17-19: FESTIVAL PAPILLIONS DE NUIT – A very popular 3-day music festival held in Saint-Lauren-de-Cuves. This year’s programme includes The Jim Jones Review, Two Door Cinema Club and Mika.

18th: EUROPEAN NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS – Many museums stay open late into the night and offer free admission.

18-19th: MASCARADES, DIVES-SUR-MER – A Venitian carnival in Dives-sur-Mer with incredible costumes, entertainment and Italian food.

18-20th: FÊTE DE MARINS – Held every year on the Pentecost weekend in Honfleur, the Festival of Sailors sees local boats decorated and gather in the estuary. There is a blessing of the sea and a wreath for those lost at sea is thrown from an airplane, followed by a procession through the town.

18-20th: HOULGATE PLEIN VENT– Three days of celebrating activities related to wind, such as kite surfing, sea kayaking and sports kites.

19-20th: PENTECOST (Public Holiday)

22-26th: FÊTE DE LA NATURE – A nature festival with events held around Normandy including workshops, exhibitions and even a giant picnic!

25-26th: GRAINES DE JARDIN – Garden festival held in Rouen which includes workshops, an organic market and entertainment.

29-1st: LES HÉTÉROCLITES – Arts and music festival in St. Lô.
